This represents a dramatic rise in the last decade, and that figure is likely higher today. Working with an IEC is invaluable for the individualized attention, time, and expertise devoted to assessing and understanding the unique qualities and preferences specific to each college applicant. What I learned about Carol Koletsky
Located in Cleveland, Ohio, Carol is the founder of Spotlight College Consulting and is a private educational consultant with a graduate level Certificate in College Counseling, With Distinction, from UCLAExtension, widely considered one of the top 3 programs in the country. Carol was previously a litigation attorney and received her B.A., with High Honors, from the University of Michigan and her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University.
Carol found College Counseling to be a natural and logical path, as her passions have always been at the intersection of mentoring students and higher education. Both of her parents were educators — her father was a medical school professor and her mother was triple-certified in elementary education, music education, and physical education. Carol attributes her passions for learning and teaching to them. Her goal is to positively impact students who seek a higher education.
Spotlight College Consulting serves students throughout Northeast Ohio, as well as throughout the United States (including a student who lives on an island off the coast of Washington State!)
